From SITS to ALL,
We hope that this season of celebration brings you good health, much love, and gratitude. The mission statement sums up our hearts, we work to enhance the lives of others. Our community, like those all over the world, is blessed to have service organizations that work towards these same ends. Service clubs, along with so many other non-profits, work to lift others up, to help them change their immediate circumstances and their futures. It's so exciting to be a part of change for others that we want to encourage everyone reading this newsletter, to get involved in someway to make a difference.
It's wonderful to provide funds to organizations around the holidays but everyone, no matter what your background, can always do more. YOUR talent is needed and the reward you'll receive is far greater than anything you could ever provide. As you're considering resolutions or personal growth for 2024, check into some of the organizations that could benefit from your participation. There is something for everyone!

How can you be an active part of positive change all year through SITS (Soroptimist International of Tahoe Sierra) ? You could attend our Thursday morning meetings and participate in committees you hold closest to your heart. We meet weekly and during each month, we host one business meeting, one team-building-how could you not feel good! social meeting, and we invite amazing speakers the remaining two meetings. Follow our busy calendar here! If you can't attend or become a member, there are other ways your efforts will make a difference in the lives of others.
You can become a Club Sponsor or Club Donor. Your participation on this level helps our club throughout the year with events such as our Mad Hatter Tea Party and Online Auction fundraisers in the spring. You can donate an item, a talent, or an opportunity to our online auction!
Do you have a new item and want to "regift" it with a purpose? We can take that off your hands. If you are an excellent chef, share your talent by donating a Cooking Class and Meal for 6! If you have a boat, donate a Champaign and Appetizer ride to Emerald Bay. If you are an excellent skier (Ski Patrol, I'm talking to you!), donate a private Ski Lesson. It you love to sew, perhaps do a lesson for a teenager and teach them how to sew themselves a pair of pajamas. Are you an artist or do you work with pottery? Offer a class to someone and share your love for your art. Do you have a property somewhere wonderful that you could offer to the highest bidder for a week's stay? Host a Murder Mystery or a Cocktail Party, the ideas are endless.
EVERYONE has something to offer, not just our business community. We will take that item and turn it into money which will support the women and youth in this community and the world. Keep thinking outside the box, including sending this information to friends and family that have items or opportunities they can share anywhere in the world! Our auction is geared towards anyone, anywhere! If you've just thought of something, go to our site and donate it directly! It's easy and we'll be in touch. Click here!
Purchase tickets to events that are held! Tickets for our 2nd Annual Mad Hatter Tea Party at Valhalla (May 19, 2024) and Raffle Tickets for vacation stays will be available soon. Follow our information on our fundraiser site, www.Sits2024.com.
Register to bid on our online auction which opens May 14 and closes at 5 PM on May 24, 2024. Here you can win something wonderful for yourself or for someone you love. They'll appreciate that besides a great gift, that the money worked towards the benefit of others.
Of just donate money! You can do that here! No matter how you do it, just involved. Our service clubs make things happen because we work from the bottom up. We are and will always be the grassroots of change. The question is, how will you be a part of that change?
