Preparing for the Caregiver Role

“Caregiving is not a journey taken alone; having a support system of people who can assist you is very important.” Diana and Megan Ono are currently caregiving for Megan’s grandparents, Tomiko and Tatsuo Ando. As they go through their caregiving journey, they shared helpful advice for future caregivers based on their experience, such as prioritizing self-care and normalizing difficult conversations with family members. A Partnership Throughout the Years

For 25 years, the Senior Fellowship at Wintersburg Presbyterian Church has been a space for community, support, and fellowship among older adults. Keiro sat down with Claire Seki, the current coordinator of the Senior Fellowship program, to discuss how the long-lasting partnership over the years has provided valuable programming and support for their older members. Under the CARES Act, any charitable contribution made to Keiro this year is eligible for a 100% tax deduction, up to $300 if filing single or $600 if filing jointly.
