Keiro defines quality of life in five elements: health/wellness, purpose, connectedness, security, and autonomy. We interviewed community members to ask them, “Which of the quality of life elements are important to you and why?”
Congratulations to all the recipients of the 2022-2023 Grants Program cycle! Keiro awarded $300,000 in funds to support 32 nonprofit organizations. This year, emphasis was placed on supporting programs that enhance one or more of the quality of life elements for older adults and caregivers as defined by Keiro.
This past Saturday, Keiro hosted the annual Caregiver Conference, our first conference back in person since 2019! We hope all attendees were able to take away valuable information and resources from the conference offerings.
Thank you to Wintersburg Presbyterian Church, our speakers, resource fair vendors, sponsors, attendees, and donors for making this year’s conference possible!
Do you know a caregiver or family member who would like to learn more about in-home care from licensed professionals? Keiro is partnering with TheKey to provide FREE two-hour educational training sessions in the convenience of your own home.
Training sessions are limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Keiro has compiled various resources to help track your progress and journey to improving your own quality of life. This includes a weekly meal tracker, a checklist for finding the right care facility, and more!
Whether it’s financial, housing, or personal, security is an integral part of having a good quality of life. In regards to personal security, preparing yourself for emergencies and natural disasters can bring peace of mind to you and your loved ones.
