Dear Children of God-
This morning I was blessed to receive an email from Elise with a prayer she read this morning. It is based on the first chapter of Paul's letter to the Ephesians which says>>
" I pray that God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ will be kind to you and will bless you with peace! Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ for the spiritual blessings that Christ has brought us from heaven!  Before the world was created, God had Christ choose us to live with him and to be his holy and innocent and loving people. God was kind and decided that Christ would choose us to be God's own adopted children. God was very kind to us because of the Son he dearly loves, and so we should praise God...
Christ... brought you the truth, which is the good news about how you can be saved. You put your faith in Christ and were given the promised Holy Spirit to show that you belong to God. The Spirit also makes us sure that we will be given what God has stored up for his people. Then we will be set free, and God will be honored and praised." (Contemporary English Version) <<
The prayer Elise sent came from a 2016 "Christ in Our Home," and says, "Holy Spirit, our world is so confusing. Bless us with the clarity that is in Christ."
Paul's letters are filled with confident statements of faith. Again and again he tells us of the promises we have received through Jesus Christ. We need those reminders that we are God's beloved children. That we have been blessed with the advocacy of the Holy Spirit. That we have a great future in store for us. We need those reminders because sometimes the troubles of life can distract us and we need the Holy Spirit to redirect our focus to all that God is doing. Truly I share in Paul's prayer that our good God is blessing you with kindness and peace. And I pray that we can share those same blessings with others.

Tuesday's Strategies for Being Church
  • I am asking for one to two minute videos that answer the question, "What does Holy Communion mean to you?" If you have a smart phone, you have the needed tools. I am hoping for voices of all ages and you can send me the video at Pastor@kellerschurch.org
  • My friend Rachel Hackenberg works for Pilgrim Press and she posted today that they are offering a free download of a few pages from their beloved classic, "Water Bugs and Dragonflies" coloring book! As you may know, coloring is not just for children! Visit thepilgrimpress.com (search: Water Bugs) and select the "PDF Download" option on the coloring book; free coloring pages will be emailed to you. Print them out or, if you're able, color them on your digital device.
  • Tonight at 7:00pm you are invited to join the Perkasie Lutheran pastors and people for "Pub Theology" on Zoom. Pastor Jenn Phelps will be the moderator. The topic will most likely be "Where is God in all of this?" The link for this gathering is below. If you are using a computer, just click the link and follow the directions. You may be asked to download the Zoom app. If you log on with your smart phone, load the Zoom app and log on from there.

If you find an inspiring prayer, verse, song, video, book, etc. - send it along! In the meantime, keep washing your hands. Stay home unless you have one of those essential jobs and may the God of the Universe bless you with peace and courage for the days ahead.
