Kelly Connell (Gruver). On Wednesday March 21st, a beautiful light faded from our lives. Kelly Connell (Gruver) passed away at home in Chicago, IL, less than a month after her 46th birthday.
She was born in Wadsworth, Ohio, and leaves behind her fiancée, Jason Dalka; his mother, Bonnie Dalka of Akron; her parents, Bill and Char Connell of Wadsworth; her brother, Jason Connell and his wife, Lorna of *Wickliffe*.
A "Celebration of Life" will be held in Wadsworth, Ohio, on Sunday April 22nd from 2 until 4 at The Strand located at 123 Broad St, Wadsworth, OH 44281.
Kelly attended Wadsworth High School and Hiram College. She was a published writer, prolific knitter, avid photographer and a terrible painter. She looked at the world with an artist's eye and addressed it with a sharp tongue and quick wit. If you knew Kel's tongue, you know her favorite words had only four letters.
Kelly loved her many friends, her dogs, Shasmecka, Emerson and Holly, as well as some truly awful music. She sent cards and letters to her friends "just because" and one of her greatest joys was sharing her many creations with others. She always said her life's goal was to "Leave it better than I found it." She did exactly that! She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
