Big news about overdues! >>
NKCPL is excited to announce a policy change that we think you're going to like. Effective immediately, the Library will no longer charge a fee for overdue materials. (Yes, really!) As part of our ongoing commitment to making the Library accessible to all our patrons, we are changing our overdue fee policy. We don't want overdue fees to become a barrier to library use. Do you have overdue fines on your card today? We'll take them off. (This will happen
at some point, but in the meantime, staff is happy to forgive these fees on an individual basis.) Important to note, though: The Library WILL still bill for lost or damaged items. So if you keep an item for months, you'll still get a bill. Ditto for items that puppy dog ate. But those pesky overdues that pile up like snow?? Those are no more. So happy March! And hope to see you around the Library soon! >>
