A Bold New Chapter Begins
We’re thrilled to officially introduce Kelso Building Services (KBS) – the newest brand under the Kelso Industries portfolio.
For years, Damon Shuman envisioned building a national service powerhouse. That vision is now reality. With full support from the Kelso Executive Team, KBS is set to deliver exceptional service across the country, backed by Kelso’s proven strength in construction.
After three intensive days at Kelso headquarters, our leadership team mapped out a strategic growth plan that positions KBS as a force in both existing and new markets.
Our Expansion Plan
KBS will establish ground-up service operations by the end of 2025 in:
- Charlotte
- Houston
- Las Vegas
- Tampa
- Atlanta
- Utah County
- Phoenix
To power this growth, KBS will leverage centralized operations in Ogden, Utah, including a state-of-the-art phone center, dispatch team, and account services group, which includes estimating small service projects as well as managing them.

Will KBS compete with existing Operating Companies?
Kelso Building Services is not here to compete with our operating companies—we are here to strengthen them. Our role is to provide support wherever it’s needed: sharing best practices, tracking KPIs, driving consistent growth strategies, and helping expand service capabilities. By aligning with and empowering existing Kelso companies, KBS amplifies their success while building new opportunities for growth across the nation
Will KBS perform construction work?
Kelso Building Services will not be performing construction work. Instead, we are focused on cultivating strong client relationships and channeling those opportunities directly to our operating companies. By driving relationship-based projects, targeted negotiated work, and higher-margin opportunities, KBS fuels profitability and growth across the Kelso network while keeping our core mission firmly rooted in service
Will Kelso still pursue acquisitions in KBS markets?
Absolutely – as long as they align with Kelso’s acquisition strategy.
