Valentine's Dance
Spend the evening with your biggest fans experiencing the sights and sounds of the red carpet at Kennesaw Parks & Recreation’s Valentine’s Dance at the Ben Robertson Community Center on Feb 9 from 6 to 9 p.m.

Join us in Hollywood for a Night at the Movies. The Ben Robertson Community Center’s Banquet Hall will be transformed into a dazzling and dreamy set of a movie premiere filled with popcorn and music. This family-friendly event will feature an “all-you-care-to-eat” dinner and dessert bar, tunes spun by a professional DJ and plenty of memorable photo opportunities.

All adults must be accompanied by a child and all small children must be accompanied by an adult. Seating will be open; however tables will be reserved for parties of six or more. Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased online at www.kennesawparksandrec.com or at the Ben Robertson Community Center. Advance purchase is required.
Great Backyard Bird Count
Participate in the Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC) on Saturday, February 16th! Held every year in February, the GBBC contributes data that provides a snapshot of bird distribution and helps scientists observe changes over the past two decades. This event is included with general admission.

While the GBBC is held over the course of an entire weekend (Feb 15-18), Smith-Gilbert Gardens will host and submit a count on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Bird-watching tours will be held throughout the morning by backyard birding experts. Children will enjoy story time, scavenger hunts and bird-themed crafts.

Schedule of Events:
  • Guided Bird Walks: 9 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 10 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 12 p.m., 12:30 p.m., 1 p.m., 1:30 p.m.
  • Citizen Science Project: 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. , 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Story Time presented by West Cobb Reg. Library: 10:30 a.m & 12:30 p.m.
  • Bird House Building: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (supplies limited, additional fee)

Calling all Law Enforcement Torch Run Supporters
The 2019 Torch Run shirts and hats have arrived! The shirts are available for a $20 donation, the hats are available for a $10 donation or you can receive both for a donation of $30 or more.Donations will be accepted by cash (preferred), or debit / credit card.

There are two ways to get the merchandise:
1. Come by the station to pick it up. While you’re here, get your picture taken with an Officer or two! 
2. If you live in the City limits, or close by, you can have them delivered by an Officer, and you can take a selfie with the Officer!

Kennesaw Offers Online Payment Options for Local Businesses
Kennesaw businesses can now make excise tax payments online! Businesses can pay their Liquor by the drink, Hotel/Motel and Motor Vehicle taxes online by visiting the City's website at www.kennesaw-ga.gov.

This is the Kennesaw Business License Division's first step toward improving efficiency. The next step will be adding the feature that allows our business owners to renew their occupational tax online.
