KSU Men's Basketball - Burden, Robinson Lead Owls to 66-61 Victory

Senior Terrell Burden scored a game-high 28 points while classmate Demond Robinson grabbed a career-high 16 rebounds, as Kennesaw State outscored Jacksonville 9-2 over the final 3:28 to claim a 66-61 Atlantic Sun Conference victory on Wednesday night from the Convocation Center.

The win not only snapped a six-game losing streak for KSU, it was also the Owls' (14-12, 5-7 ASUN) first two-game season sweep over the Dolphins (13-13, 4-8 ASUN) since the 2014-15 season.

Simeon Cottle joined Burden in double-figures with 11 off the bench, while Robinson added eight points to go with his 16 rebounds, which ties for the 11th-most ever in a game by an Owl.

The Owls finished with a 40-38 advantage on the boards, and held a 13-7 lead on second chance points.

NEXT TIME OUT: The Owls will host Senior Night on Friday when they host North Florida in a 7 p.m. contest in the Convocation Center. Burden, Robinson, Armani Harris and Cole LaRue will all be honored before the game.

KSU Baseball - Year Three of Ryan Coe Era

Begins at UAB

Kennesaw State baseball begins year three under head coach Ryan Coe with a season-opening series in Birmingham against the UAB Blazers. The three-game set begins on Friday afternoon with first pitch scheduled for 3:00 p.m. ET. The trip is the Owls first to Young Memorial Field since 2021.

The Owls enter the 2024 season with a mixture of veterans and rookies. The team returns 25 players from last year's squad while adding 14 newcomers to The Nest. Out of the 14 new additions, 10 are true freshmen while four are transfers.

In September 2023, the Board of Regents for the University System of Georgia approved two major construction projects at Kennesaw State University, one of which included a new stadium for KSU baseball. Plans for the stadium reconstruction include premium and hospitality seating, and the stadium will match the program's aspirations with the ability to host NCAA Regional and Super Regional rounds.

Graduate outfielder Spencer Hanson was named to the 2024 All-Atlantic Sun Preseason team. KSU was picked to finish fifth in the preseason coaches poll with 99 points and one first-place vote.

The Owls host Mercer for their home opener on Tuesday, Feb. 20 inside Stillwell Stadium. First pitch is slated for 5:00 p.m. and will be the 40th matchup between the two teams in series history.
