Lilly Makes Historic, $4B Investment in Kenosha County!

It was an honor Thursday to be part of a monumental announcement by Lilly (formerly Eli Lilly and Company) that will have a transformative, waterfall impact within Kenosha County and distinguish the state of Wisconsin as a hub for cutting-edge pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Eli Lilly's acquisition and expansion development - which includes properties in both the villages of Bristol and Pleasant Prairie - will not only improve access to life-saving medicines and health outcomes for people worldwide, but also will: create 2,000 construction jobs; add 750 new, family-supporting jobs in Kenosha County; and create new opportunities for economic and talent development.

This historical $3B expansion and overall $4B commitment by Lily further demonstrates how Kenosha County has become a destination of choice for high-quality employers from all over the world.

I thank Lilly for making the decision to grow its business here, as well as Gov. Evers for committing the significant state support that helped move this development forward.

Holiday Tradition - Feeding 100 Families

A friendly competition among staff in Kenosha County’s Division of Children and Family Services is again putting food on the table for local families in need.

The Feed 100 Families Food Drive contest, held Friday, is holiday season tradition in DCFS, in which the division’s various units collect food donations and decorate their work areas in with various themes.

The 2024 winners of traveling trophies in two categories are: Most Generous (top/first photo) and Most Creative (Ongoing Services, second/middle photo). Moreover, they’re giving back to the community, while having some fun along the way!

Welcoming Future Leaders

Thank you to Leadership Kenosha for bringing the 2024-25 cohort to the Kenosha County Administration Building for a day of workshops and activities that included an overview on the role of county government, and a panel discussion with local elected officials.

More information about this leadership development program — facilitated by the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in partnership with the Kenosha Area Chamber of Commerce — is available HERE.
