The 2018 One School, One Book selection, Charlotte’s Web, by E.B. White, was revealed to Timmons Elementary students complete with a drumline greeting, a creatively decorated building and a Special Delivery containing a copy of the book for each student. This program is a giant book club, where everyone is reading or listening to the same book, participating in shared activities, and developing a love of reading. Timmons PTO and the Chagrin Valley Rotary Club support this literacy initiative. TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION
Technology is portable. It has changed the way we learn and work. Fifth grade students are using Chromebooks to create commercials to market a product that they have designed, produced and will sell as part of Math Money Madness. They have been combining English/Language Arts and Math skills to develop a successful marketing plan.
