Kentlands Code Re-Write Session 4
Wednesday, May 11 at 7 PM

The fourth Kentlands Design Standards (code) re-write work session will be Wednesday, May 11th at 7 pm. The KCA Board will be working with Town Architect DPZ and members of the KHT and BOCC on revising and updating the code. The sections of the code that will be addressed in this work session include awnings, lighting, signs, storefronts, off-street parking, and a few others.

Once the code re-write is complete, the proposed code will be presented to the community for an additional comment period of 30 days before the Board votes on its adoption.

Friendly Reminder - Townhome Residents

Townhome inspections began April 4, 2022 and are complete.

Property maintenance plays a vital role in maintaining or increasing property values. Inspectors took photos of noted violations and notice of non-compliance will be issued within 30 days. Titleholders will be provided a timeline to comply and/or to communicate with the management office to request more time. Thank you for your help in this important effort to maintain our community standards.
Updated Lap Swim Schedule

During a recent Board of Trustees meeting, the Board
voted to change the Lap Pool's resident usage
during the scheduled Kentlands Kingfish swim season.
Under the new policy, non-Kingfish swimmers
will be restricted from the use of any Lap Pool lanes
during the hours of 8 AM - 12 NOON and 4 PM - 7 PM.

Swimmers that would like to use lap lane(s)
during the scheduled Kentlands Kingfish practice times are encouraged to use the lap lanes within the Social Pool.

If you have any questions or concerns, please email the
management staff at
We thank you for your support and understanding.
Electronic Facilities Passes (EFPs)

Electronic facilities passes grant residents access to Kentlands amenities such as the Pool, Courts, and Fitness Center.

EFPs do not need renewal on an annual basis
if your lease and driver's license on file are valid.

Residents that have not received an EFP,
or have lost it and require a replacement,
should contact the Clubhouse at 301.948.2071
and schedule an appointment.
Extended Hours for EFP Appointments

Tuesday, May 3, 5:00 PM – 6:45 PM
Saturday May 14, 11:00 AM – 1:45 PM
Monday, May 16, 7:00 AM – 8:45 PM

The Kentlands Clubhouse staff is offering extended hours for our residents and their children 10 years and older that are unable to obtain their EFPs (Electronic Facilities Passes) during regular business hours (M-F, 9 AM - 4:45 PM).

An appointment is required to obtain EFPs during extended hours. Appointments are also encouraged during regular business hours to prevent wait times and ensure all residents receive a personal and professional experience.

Do NOT wait to get your EFPs, whether you lost yours and need a replacement ($30, cash, or credit) or you are new to getting one. A photo will be taken.

Call the Clubhouse M-F, 9 AM - 4:45 PM at 301-948-2071 to schedule your appointment!
One complimentary 2022 Ten-Punch Guest Pass may be picked up and signed for only by Titleholders and Lessees if you have not already. One punch covers your guest's $3 daily fee to the Fitness Center or Pool. No appointment is needed to pick up a 2022 Guest Pass.
All residents and guests must have a signed Kentlands Citizens Assembly Waiver on file to use facilities and attend events. Residents 18 years and older must be on their own individual waiver and anyone 17 years and younger must be on their parent's waiver. If you have not completed a Waiver, please complete the following electronically.

Be sure a Reference # (located at the top) was assigned to each processed waiver. This Reference # assures the waiver was electronically submitted and received.

Village Information
Dear Kentlands and Lakelands Residents who are 55 and over:
Please consider joining the Village at Kentlands and Lakelands as a social member, service member or volunteer.

We Need Volunteers!
Our volunteers help Kentlands and Lakelands residents who are 55 and older who need help with light chores and transportation or simply want someone to talk to.
We also are looking for volunteers to help with media, organizing events, fundraising and more.

We Need Members!
Some people join because of the social opportunities the Village provides. Others join because they need a little help so that they can remain independent. Whatever your reason, consider joining and being a part of this amazing program. Contact Jean Mocarski at or 240-449-9002 for information.

Visit our website to learn more about the Village and how it can be a great way to make new friends, find interesting things to do and/or get a little help. Good news! Gaithersburg now allows 100% audience capacity in the Arts Barn. That means there are tickets available for Kentlands Film Society’s last movie of the season, Tel Aviv on Fire. It will be shown on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at 7:00 PM in the Arts Barn, 311 Kent Square Rd. Doors open at 6:15 PM. Tickets cost $10 per person. And there will be a Critic’s Corner after the movie. Please contact to reserve a ticket or for more information. Don’t let the film’s title throw you off.

Tel Aviv on Fire is a comedy that crosses borders and breaks boundaries. Salam, a young, inexperienced Palestinian, becomes a writer on a popular soap opera after a chance meeting with an Israeli soldier who gives him story ideas. His creative career is on the rise until the soldier and the show’s financial backers disagree about how the show should end and Salam is caught in the middle. Thoughtful and well-acted, Tel Aviv on Fire proves it’s possible to find humor in the midst of cultural conflict.
