Dear Kentlands,
In my President’s column in the February Town Crier, I published a reminder that masks are required in the Clubhouse per Montgomery County ordinance, including the Fitness Center.
Effective on February 21, 2022, at 11:59 pm, the Montgomery County Council will allow the indoor mask mandate to expire.
The KCA Board of Trustees continues to abide by the current state, county (and, when applicable, city) ordinances. Consequently, when the Clubhouse and Carriage House open on Tuesday, February 22nd, masks will no longer be required in those spaces.
The KCA leadership and staff wish everyone a healthy and safe rest of the winter.
Sincerely,
Chris Campbell
KCA President

All Residents and Guests Using
Kentlands Amenities Must have
Every individual 18 years and older must complete their own individual Kentlands Waiver. Minor children (17 years and younger) must be included in their parent's Waiver. After clicking the green SUBMIT button, the Waiver will electronically be submitted to Kentlands management. A reference number is a confirmation of a successful transmittal. If not, a red box with instructions will assist you. Take a screenshot for your own record should you have to provide it to the Clubhouse front desk staff.

Part-Time Staff Needed
The Kentlands Citizens Assembly seeks two (2) part-time Clubhouse Recreation Attendants who will be responsible for the front desk, summer snack bar, and assist with special events. Attendants must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Interested candidates may submit their completed application and resume by email to Sandy Al-Nazer or paperwork may be placed in the locked white mailbox at the Clubhouse (485 Tschiffely Square Rd, Gaithersburg, MD).

Trash and Recycling Bins
Residents, once your trash or recycling has been collected, cans and bins must be stored out of sight no later than the night of your pickup date. Trash cans and recycling bins have recently been left out around the community which can interfere with traffic, disrupt walkers, and may fall over or roll away during heavy winds. Your cooperation is appreciated. (Administrative Resolution No. 11)

Bulk Pickup Requires Scheduling
The City of Gaithersburg provides scheduled bulk trash pickup for Kentlands single-family homes and townhouses (not condominiums) for items the community’s trash collector will not accept. Condominium owners/residents must contact their management company.
Plan ahead!
- You must schedule pick up for any one of Kentlands’ recycling days (only Thursdays) by appointment only.
- The City will process your request, requiring two (2) business days, and will provide confirmation.
- DO NOT place bulk items out for pickup until you receive confirmation.
- Regular recycling will not pick up bulk items.
To know where to place bulk items, how often you may schedule, what items are acceptable, and more, click here
Thank you for doing your part in keeping the Kentlands community clean and beautiful!

Dear Kentlands and Lakelands Residents who are 55 and over:
Please consider joining the Village at Kentlands and Lakelands as a social member, service member or volunteer.
We Need Volunteers!
Our volunteers help Kentlands and Lakelands residents who are 55 and older who need help with light chores and transportation or simply want someone to talk to.
We also are looking for volunteers to help with media, organizing events, fundraising and more.
We Need Members!
Some people join because of the social opportunities the Village provides. Others join because they need a little help so that they can remain independent. Whatever your reason, consider joining and being a part of this amazing program. Contact Jean Mocarski at jeanmocarski@gmail.com or 240-449-9002 for information.
Visit our website to learn more about the Village and how it can be a great way to make new friends, find interesting things to do and/or get a little help.
