Proposed Equity Resolution #5
Solar Collector System
As in any community, there are a range of viewpoints on how solar collection systems should be employed, and we sincerely appreciate the community participation in this effort. It has been enormously helpful to the process and has helped us develop a proposal that we believe best reflects Community sentiment. Please take a few minutes to review Proposed Equity Resolution #5 and please share your thoughts and comments.
This resolution will be before the Board at the April 27 meeting. We invite you to attend and to share your thoughts at that meeting to assist our Board in its decision on this matter. Comments, questions, and suggestions should be sent to the Board President or Board of Trustees.

Successful Kentlands Egg Hunt on the Lawn
150 Kentlands children collected 4,000 eggs in less than three minutes. They climbed through an inflatable obstacle course, played limbo, had sack races, blew bubbles, decorated sidewalks with chalk, enjoyed face painting, and proudly carried their balloon animals around. Donut holes were a hit - 1,500 of them to be exact! Thank you to everyone who joined us for this event!

Friendly Reminder - Townhome Residents
Townhome inspections began April 4, 2022 and are expected to be completed by the end of the month. Titleholders are encouraged to assess the exterior of their homes and property and take necessary steps to ensure compliance.
Property maintenance plays a vital role in maintaining or increasing property values. Inspectors will take photos of noted violations, and notice of non-compliance will be issued within 30 days. Titleholders will be provided a deadline to comply and/or to communicate with the management office to request more time. Thank you for your help in this important effort to maintain our community standards.

Electronic Facilities Passes (EFPs)
Electronic facilities passes grant residents access to Kentlands amenities such as the Pool, Courts, and Fitness Center.
EFPs do not need renewal on an annual basis if your lease and driver's license on file are valid.
Residents that have not received an EFP should contact the Clubhouse at 301.948.2071 and schedule an appointment.
|
|
Extended Hours for EFP Appointments
Tuesday, May 3, 5:00 PM – 6:45 PM
Saturday May 14, 11:00 AM – 1:45 PM
Monday, May 16, 7:00 AM – 8:45 PM
The Kentlands Clubhouse staff is offering extended hours for our residents and their children 10 years and older that are unable to obtain their EFPs (Electronic Facilities Passes) during regular business hours (M-F, 9 AM - 4:45 PM).
An appointment is required to obtain EFPs so residents can be assisted personally and professionally.
Do NOT wait to get your EFPs, whether you lost yours and need a replacement ($30, cash or credit) or you are new to get one. A photo will be taken.
Call the Clubhouse M-F, 9 AM - 4:45 PM at 301-948-2071 to schedule your appointment!
Also, one complimentary 2022 Ten-Punch Guest Pass may be picked up and signed for only by Titleholders and Lessees if you have not already. One punch covers your guest's $3 daily fee to the Fitness Center or Pool. No appointment needed to pick up a 2022 Guest Pass.
All residents and guests must have on record with the Kentlands Citizens Assembly a Waiver to use facilities and attend events. Residents 18 years and older must be on their own individual waiver and anyone 17 years and younger must be on their parent's waiver. If you have not completed a Waiver, please complete the following electronically.
Be sure a Reference # (located at the top) was assigned to each processed waiver. This Reference # assures the waiver was electronically submitted and received.

Dear Kentlands and Lakelands Residents who are 55 and over:
Please consider joining the Village at Kentlands and Lakelands as a social member, service member or volunteer.
We Need Volunteers!
Our volunteers help Kentlands and Lakelands residents who are 55 and older who need help with light chores and transportation or simply want someone to talk to.
We also are looking for volunteers to help with media, organizing events, fundraising and more.
We Need Members!
Some people join because of the social opportunities the Village provides. Others join because they need a little help so that they can remain independent. Whatever your reason, consider joining and being a part of this amazing program. Contact Jean Mocarski at jeanmocarski@gmail.com or 240-449-9002 for information.
Visit our website to learn more about the Village and how it can be a great way to make new friends, find interesting things to do and/or get a little help. Check out our calendar which describes monthly events happening in Kentlands and Lakelands and in other Villages. Read our newsletters—Village News—which is full of valuable information about things to do. Also, look at our articles--Views from the Village—featuring topics of interest.
