February 5, 2022 @ 10 am
* Kentlands Residents Only *

Join us as we read a story about an adventurous girl named Swatch. We go on a hunt for colors (jars of paint) and get creative on a large outdoor canvas. This is a great opportunity for children to explore with their senses, exercise creativity, and create a collaborative piece of art with others. Children of all ages are welcome. Capacity is limited. Families should provide an oversized shirt to be used by their artist as a smock. Adults are encouraged to take plenty of photos.

Free At-Home COVID-19 Tests

The federal website, covidtests.gov, where US Residents can order free COVID-19 at-home tests, launched on January 18.

The site directs visitors to special.usps.com/testkits, where residents can fill out a short form to get their tests. COVID-19 tests will start shipping in late January. USPS will only send one free set, which includes four at-home COVID-19 tests, to valid residential addresses.

Bulk Pick Up Requires Scheduling

To schedule, call 301-258-6370, Monday - Friday, 7 am - 4 pm, or click here to learn more and schedule online.

The City of Gaithersburg provides scheduled bulk trash pick-up for Kentlands single-family homes and townhouses (not condominiums) for items the community’s trash collector will not accept. Condominium owners/residents must contact their management company.
Plan ahead!
  • You must schedule pick up on any one of Kentlands’ recycling days (only Thursdays) by appointment only.
  • The City will process your request, requiring two (2) business days, and will provide confirmation.
  • DO NOT place bulk items out for pick up until you receive confirmation.
  • Regular recycling will not pick up bulk items.

To know where to place bulk items, how often you may schedule, what items are acceptable, and more, click here.

Thank you for doing your part in keeping the Kentlands community clean and beautiful!

Village Information
Dear Kentlands and Lakelands Residents who are 55 and over:
Please consider joining the Village at Kentlands and Lakelands as a social member, service member or volunteer.

We Need Volunteers!

We also are looking for volunteers to help with media, organizing events, fundraising and more.
