Founded in 2008, Kentucky CancerLink is a "grassroots" 501(c)3 non-profit whose mission is to reduce and/or eliminate barriers to screening, diagnosis and treatment of cancer.

The KCL Chatter is a bi-weekly snapshot of services, program updates and event schedule!  We appreciate your time in learning more about our organization!
Special Letter from the Executive Director:

Hope Changes Lives

Dear Friends of Kentucky CancerLink,

This is one of the most difficult letters I have written in the 8 years that I have been Executive Director at KCL. We have recently been notified that one of our major funding organizations is unable to fund our programs this coming year. This has had a direct impact on our ability to serve Kentuckians in need who are fighting the battle against cancer.

You have an opportunity to help us ride out this financial storm! Please consider joining us on Saturday, May 28th for our Brave Faces 5k to be held at Coldstream Park. There, you can also learn about our #UNTIL Campaign, an awareness and fundraising challenge that will run through the month of June. This will be a wonderful opportunity to support our mission and give hope to Kentuckians fighting cancer.

There is nothing like the joy and inspiration on the faces of those in the fight who receive support from our organization. Making those special moments possible is our passion and mission. Please help us continue opening hearts and giving hope!

Come to our 5K, join our #UNTIL Campaign or donate today!! We are grateful for any amount!! You can donate now by clicking here!!

P.S. Your gift, large or small, is deeply appreciated and will help many Kentucky cancer patients today!
KCL Out and About

Kentucky CancerLink enjoyed being a part of UK HealthCare Markey Cancer Center's Men's Health Check event on Wednesday, April 13th.  The event was very well attended and focused on screenings for men. It was great seeing so many men being proactive and interested in ways to stay healthy!

Thank you to Community Partner,  UK HealthCare Markey Cancer Center for including Kentucky CancerLink and being such a great supporter of our mission!
Kentucky CancerLink participated in the i know expo event on Sunday, April 3rd. We are grateful for their support of our mission and look forward to continued partnerships!
Freedom From Smoking - Smoking Cessation Classes
Kentucky CancerLink's Inaugural  Freedom From Smoking program has kicked off! There are  9 participants and we are enjoying getting to know them and being a support system.  We are excited about this opportunity to encourage a healthier lifestyle in these great men and women!

For more information about Freedom From Smoking, future sessions and how the program can help you, a loved one or coworkers be FREE from smoking, please call 859.309.1700!

Freedom From Smoking is a program developed by the American Lung Association.  The American Lung Association's Freedom From SmokingĀ® (FFS) program is for adults who are ready to quit smoking. Because most people know that smoking is dangerous to their health, the program focuses almost exclusively on how to quit, not why to quit.
