Online Survey for Farm Families

Researchers at the National Farm Medicine Center and The Ohio State University are looking for farmers and ranchers who are raising children 0 to 18 to participate in an online survey. The survey asks about your families’ experiences of taking care of children (age 0 to 18) while also working on and off the farm/ranch. The survey is open to part time and full time farmers, ranchers, and their partners operating in rural, urban, or suburban areas. Participants have the option to enter a raffle for one of fifty $50 checks.

Beef Demonstrations

We have been on the road conducting various beef demonstrations! These demonstrations focus on where various beef cuts come from, the importance of beef advocacy, and the importance of being a member of the beef community. Kentucky Farm Bureau Young Farmer Conference Workshop

During the Kentucky Farm Bureau Young Farmer Conference in Louisville, we had the opportunity to present to around 40 kids all about various aspects of the beef industry. These kids were able to interact and engage during this session, as well as make their own ear tag to take home with them.

Our survey results have all seemed to give us positive feedback from the event, stating that both kids and adults in the session felt that it was an educational and engaging environment.
