Planning. Learning. Growing.
The Kentucky Junior Cattlemen’s Board of Directors has been busy preparing for our biggest event of the year–The KJCA Fall Classic. The past few months have involved planning for a successful show, learning how to work together as a board, and growing as leaders in the beef industry. We have gathered sponsorships, planned contests, designed awards, and made changes to the 2023 Kentucky Junior Cattlemen’s Association Fall Classic to best serve our members. In order to do this, it takes personal growth within our board, and the support from our association’s stakeholders. This has been a pivotal time for our board members, and I am proud to serve alongside these wonderful junior members.
The KJCA Fall Classic is always one of my favorite events of the year, and has had major impacts on my life. It is hard to believe that it is just a few months away. As the KJCA Board of Directors, we cannot wait to see our junior members on September 29-October 1 at Western Kentucky University’s L.D. Brown Ag Expo Center. If any junior member is looking to become more involved in the beef industry, The KJCA Fall Classic is the perfect way to do so. More than a cattle show, Fall Classic focuses on contests, youth development, and industry involvement for our members.
See you at Fall Classic,
Emma Ballinger
