2021 KCA CONVENTION UPDATE
The Kentucky Cattlemen's Association Convention will be held Friday, January 15, 2021, at the Owensboro Convention Center. This one-day conference will include the five Regional Delegate Caucus meetings, the KCA Opening and Closing General Sessions, and the Hall of Fame award presentations. The Owensboro Convention Center has notified that we are allowed no more than 580 attendees at this year's convention. For this reasoning, we are opening registration to County Delegates first and then opening up to the general membership after December 1st. Look for more details to come this week.

CATTLE INDUSTRY CONVENTION POSTPONED UNTIL AUGUST 2021
The Cattle Industry Annual Convention and NCBA Trade Show is one of the industry’s biggest events each year, bringing together cattlemen and cattlewomen from across the nation to do the work of our industry. Unfortunately, the current pandemic presents challenges that make bringing people together difficult. With the health and safety of our attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, and partners in mind, NCBA has made the difficult decision to postpone the in-person event to August 2021.

EDEN SHALE FARM UPDATE - OCTOBER 2020
With the help of UK’s Dr. Jeff Lehmkuhler we hosted a virtual Weaning Workshop this year. Dr. Lehmkuhler came to the farm and helped us on weaning day and captured a bunch of video footage that was then used to create an online module. Other topics were also covered and presented in the preceding weeks as their own module. In all there were 8 weeks’ worth of videos covering every aspect of the weaning process. If you would like to view, the content is available on the UK Beef IRM and Eden Shale Farm Facebook pages.
