"Thanks to our corporate and government partners, we were able to raise money to feed Kentucky’s less fortunate and raise awareness of the problem of chronic food insecurity in the commonwealth," Commissioner of Agriculture Dr. Ryan Quarles said.
Between 40 percent and 50 percent of the corn grown in Kentucky is used to feed livestock. Kentucky produced an estimated 276 million bushels of corn in 2021.
