Kenya Update!
What an amazing trip! This trip to Kenya that Nate recently returned from was unlike any other as its purpose was to continue to lay the foundation for Praying Pelican Missions' newest initiative called PPM365. PPM365 has been established to continually build up, encourage, and assist local churches 365 days a year, not just when there is a mission trip!

Nate was able to travel with PPM365 Managers from Haiti and Nicaragua, meeting up with our PPM 365 Manager of Kenya.

Nate spent the week training the three staff for their new 365 roles. They also equipped pastors, churches, college students, and youth to go out in Jesus' name to serve under the authority of other local churches, all to expand the Kingdom of God!

You can see a timeline of their trip, more pictures, and a mini-blog at www.ppm.org/365.

The Kenya report is this: GOD IS MOVING! He is not dead, but alive and active around the world!

A few days after Nate returned home, one PPM365 local church took their first-ever church mission trip! They took 10 people from one part of Kenya to the coastal city of Miritini near Mombasa. They partnered with a PPM365 local church there and had an incredible time experiencing the favor of the Lord as the local church in Miritini was built up, encouraged, and assisted. Not only that but souls were also won as people put their faith in Jesus Christ! Check out their trip journal here.
Laura & Reagan - Hawaii Missions
Laura and Reagan are so excited that they were requested by a fellow PPM staff member to serve in Hawaii later this month, June 18-25!

Hawaii is a new PPM location that has exploded with interest this year. The pastors there are thrilled that people would actually come to their islands to serve alongside of their local church when they could come to just vacation instead! There is a new movement of missions that PPM has assisted in launching in this area.

Laura will be serving as an Assistant Trip Leader for the week, while Reagan will be providing childcare for the Trip Leader's 4 children. Please keep Laura and Reagan in prayer as they serve alongside 63 missionaries serving 3 local churches! This is a special opportunity for Laura and Reagan to spend time serving the Lord together!
May Family Update
May was a full, fun month! The first full weekend in May Nate's parents rented a condo on the beach to celebrate their anniversary and retirement and invited us to go there with them! That Sunday was also Mother's Day & Laura's 40th birthday....definitely a great weekend for a fun getaway!

Nathan left for Kenya just a few days after returning home, and as mentioned above, had a powerful trip.

We wrapped up our first school year in Alabama, and the kids all had a great year making new friends and excelling in academics. They are excited about summer break, but are also always ready to go back to school when the time comes. (Nate and Laura are usually ready for them to go back too, ha.)

A couple of days after school let out, we headed to Michigan! We hadn't been there since we lived in Costa Rica and came to the States for Christmas...about 4.5 years ago - crazy! It was so good to see family and friends and enjoy time on the lake. The kids were all fishing machines and had a blast with their cousins.

After spending a few days in Michigan, we drove just under 3 hours to Ohio to visit Laura's brother and his family. It had been 3 years since we had been together, again - time passes way too quickly! We spent time at the lake, creek, and truly enjoyed just being together wherever we were.

In the midst of all of the good times and awesome memories being made, we have also been walking through one of the hardest seasons of our lives. We are so grateful to our friends and family for their constant love and support and know that God has placed us here in Alabama specifically for this season we are in.

We are surrounded by an amazing community, both near and far, that truly loves and cares about our family and we are so grateful for that. God has been so good to us and we continue to trust Him in every aspect of our lives.
