Kesher Newsletter - October 2016

Dear Kesher families,

Rosh HaShanah, the Jewish New Year, begins at sundown on Sunday, October 2nd.  This email contains the High Holidays - Rosh Ha'shanah, Yom Kippur and Sukkoth services, as well as Tashlich and Simchat Torah and other celebration activities.

A friendly recommendation from our Kesher Marin Concierge:
In the Jewish tradition, shofars are sounded throughout the High Holiday services to call people to a spiritual reawakening, to re-examine their lives, to let go of yesterday and to bring in the new year.
This app turns the phone or tablet into a shofar you can really blow! Author Randi Zuckerberg narrates, while children literally breathe life into the colorful illustrations of the artist Laura Huliska Beith and a soundtrack that will get you dancing!

· Pick a boy or a girl character to star in the story
· Use the mic on your device to really blow the shofar in the story
· Practice the real shofar blasts from synagogue in the shofar toy
  feature
· Read it (or have it read to you) in English or Hebrew
· Fun for the holidays, or all year round!
