The Stock division season came to a close Saturday night September 15th at Tom Wood Group Indianapolis Speedrome Powered by Lincoln Tech. The final 2018 task, a century-length feature titled the Snow Shovel 100. Former champ Doug Greig set quick time in qualifying at 14.392 seconds. Kenny Rackley took the early lead in the main. Kentucky’s Mike Kestler took over on lap 8 and never looked back. It was his 3rd victory of the year. Kevin Smith was a game second followed by Ricky Schaeffer III, Greig, and Larry Hahn.
Former Thundercar division champion Smith used his second place result to clinch his first ever Speedrome Stock crown. Kevin was the model of consistency in his #61. He captured a pair of features this year and was the only driver in the class with top ten finishes in every event. Congradulations to Kevin and his team! This was a resurgent campaign for the Stocks. We want to thank all of the folks involved in keeping the passion alive for this category.
