Thursday Morning Knolwedge Forum Webinars

We are joining our Minnesota neighbors at the Performance Excellence Network in hosting 1-hour morning “knowledge forum” Zoom webinars every other Thursday from 7:45 am – 9 am at no charge to our members ($20 per person for nonmembers). These webinars have been very popular and are recorded for additional viewing. The format includes panels, Ted-Talks, and case study presentations. Network. Watch our events page for May and June sessions!

Times have been tough. But leaders, teams, organizations, and communities are ready to move forward – to build upon the resilience we've acquired the last year or so; to improve, grow, and thrive again; to innovate and reimagine a better tomorrow!

We're excited to co-host PENworks2021, a hybrid (live and online) conference on Friday, September 24! PENworks is the region’s largest, and most powerful conference focused on continuous improvement and performance excellence! Last year we had nearly 400 attendees, and based on the quality of the program this year (and hosting in two formats, which provides flexibility and convenience), we expect similar energy and greater attendance. PENworks is a great opportunity for organization to gain visibility with leaders and decision makers from many industries throughout the Upper Midwest.

This year's conference will feature 9 keynote and plenary speakers:

Conference keynotes this year include Joe Nayquonabe (CEO, Corporate Ventures, and Commissioner of Corporate Affairs, Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe); Deb Reuben (founder & CEO, TomorrowZone); Ross Bernstein (speaker & sports author); plus leaders from six organizations that have received the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award!

In addition, the conference will also feature 15+ other speakers from a variety of sectors and industries, each sharing tools, insights, best practices on topics that help leaders improve performance – and this year get us moving from challenges to imagining and creating a bright future.

Step into Your Courage Zone -- May 26 Online Workshop

Today's environment requires leaders & professionals to "dream big" -- to analyze the situation and take intelligent risks.

The Wisconsin Center for Performance Excellence is pleased to partner with the Alliance for Performance Excellence (the national network of Baldrige-based programs) to host a special online workshop May 26: Step into Your Courage Zone. The session is part of the Alliance's quarterly Professional Development Series, and will be facilitated by Margot Hoffman, president/CEO of The Partnership for Excellence.

During the session, Margot will introduce you to the Courage Zone and ways to break through the Terror Barrier. You will share a goal you would like to pursue, which takes you out of your comfort zone, and commit to a “symbolic leap” to get started. You will “dream big” by brainstorming with others to develop your goal into a big idea, so you can aim higher than you imagined. You will focus on breaking down the barriers to achieving your big idea and getting to positive, focused solutions. Finally, you will identify the steps to take to achieve your objectives. The workshop incorporates traditional project management into the context of making breakthrough change.

The workshop is Wednesday, May 26 from 9:00-4:00 CT, using Zoom MEETING. Your investment for the daylong workshops is $300.
