NBEA Prepares an Ambitious AI Academy

Artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming education, but most professional development offerings barely scratch the surface. Recognizing the need for deeper, more meaningful training, NBEA has spent the past several months working alongside a professional instructional designer to develop one of the most ambitious professional development initiatives in our association's history: the NBEA AI Academy.


October 12-13, 2026

Monday: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, Tuesday: 8:30 am - 3:00 pm

This is not another introductory AI workshop focused on basic prompting techniques or familiar AI tools. The NBEA AI Academy is designed for experienced business educators who are ready to move beyond the fundamentals and become leaders in the effective use of AI within their classrooms, departments, and schools.

The Academy focuses on four critical areas where educators need practical expertise today:

• Instructional Use of AI
• Instructional Design with AI
• Administrative Applications of AI
• Ethics, Privacy, and AI Policy

Participants will learn how to leverage AI strategically to improve instruction, streamline administrative tasks, enhance curriculum development, and make informed decisions about responsible AI implementation. More importantly, they will gain the knowledge and confidence to serve as AI leaders and trusted resources within their schools and districts.

While technology is at the center of the Academy, the experience itself is highly collaborative and engaging. Attendees will work alongside fellow business educators, sharing ideas, exploring best practices, and participating in hands-on activities designed to produce immediate classroom impact.

The result is more than professional development—it's an opportunity to join a community of forward-thinking educators who are shaping the future of business education. Expect two energizing days filled with practical strategies, meaningful collaboration, innovative ideas, and actionable tools you can begin using immediately.
