Cyber-crime and Cybersecurity: A Team Effort
In this session, you will hear an overview of the latest cyber and IP threats, including data breaches, malware, and insider theft. Brian will also cover the importance of attorneys developing relationships with law enforcement in advance of a cyber incident or IP theft, as well as the importance of alerting law enforcement as soon as possible after an incident does occur. He will also address common concerns and misconceptions associated with involving law enforcement in these matters.
Brian L. Levine serves as Senior Counsel in the Department of Justice's Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section ("CCIPS") and National Coordinator for more than 300 federal prosecutors who focus on computer hacking, intellectual property prosecution, and the lawful gathering and use of digital evidence.
