ALWAYS....REACHING HIGHER
From the Superintendent...
Greetings!

“Everything about Jesus speaks of vulnerability rather than self-protection. He was born in a manger, a feeding trough, a place where animals come to eat and he ends up on a table, “flesh for the life of the world,” to be eaten up by the world (John 6:51). The first words out of his mouth call for metanoia, the opposite of paranoia. In the end, he gives himself over to crucifixion rather than to self-protection. That was Jesus’ response to a world that grossly misunderstood him and violently mistreated him. He opened his arms in vulnerability rather than closed his fists in self-defense.” R. Rolheiser

Jesus, teach us how to live with our arms opened in vulnerability.
In this Lenten season, during this challenging time for our world,
when we carry so much weight for our students, families, and staff,
help us open our arms to embrace the challenge,
communicate in love, and vulnerably lead lives that depend on you.
Help us to breathe in your spirit and see you in all we meet.
Be with us as we make decisions to support life and growth for all in our Catholic schools.
We pray for our brothers and sisters who wake to the sounds of violence and war.
May our daily actions echo your peace within and beyond our communities.
We have so very much for which to be grateful.
We walk with you, daily, at your side.

We keep you in our prayers of gratitude,

KRISTIN DIXON |  Superintendent
