Online book sale supports Keystone

From Lower School Librarian and Literacy Coach Mrs. Denny:

Dear Keystone Community,

In the past, I have offered Scholastic book flyers through the library, but now that I’m working with Follett, I thought I’d offer you a chance to order books periodically through their eBook Fair option. This is not to replace the on-site book fairs we have in November and April/May. It’s just another opportunity to put more books into students’ hands and to support the library.

Books range from Pre-K to 8th grade.

Sales begin February 17 and end February 23.

Books ship to the school within five business days of February 23, and you pay no shipping.

Choose your child's classroom teacher or MS English teacher or me (Carolyn Denny) for book delivery purposes.

If asked to enter a code, it is M6K7X.

Thank you for your support!
Class of 1970 Reunion

From the Reunion Committee:

Dear Keystone Friends—

Your Alumni Committee thanks those who have sent in checks for the May 30, 2020, REUNION!

Off to a good start! 30 people were excited to say YES to attending, but we have only received checks to cover 12 including spouses. The check you mail in is your confirmation for attending.

We understand it can be a challenge to plan so far in advance, but pause for a moment and realize all the years that have passed and how this event may be the best opportunity to see many people you were in school with 50 years ago. March 15 is our deadline with La Fonda for planning the event based on numbers of people who will attend.  We’d love to see you there!

Make check for $15 per person to Keystone School. Mail to 119 E. Craig St., San Antonio, Texas 78212.

In the memo line of your check be sure to write “MAY 30 REUNION.”

Billy's Blog: From the Head of School
“It’s not only moving that creates new starting points. Sometimes all it takes is a subtle shift in perspective, an opening of the mind, an intentional pause and reset, or a new route to start to see new options and new possibilities.”
–Olympic gold medalist Kristin Armstrong

For three days last week, members of the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest (ISAS) visited Keystone as part of the school’s 10-year accreditation process, and their feedback was gratifying: “We really like your students.” “You have excellent teachers!” “Your parents love the school!” “Your Board is outstanding!”
