On Campus
Annual Fund begins

The Annual Fund campaign kicks off on Monday and will run for the next five weeks. This campaign supplements the funds that come from tuition and allows Keystone to purchase additional educational supplies, technology, equipment and professional development for teachers.

Annual Fund is a way for all of us to make a direct impact on our school for our children and ensure Keystone has strong support today and in the years ahead. You will receive messages from your Annual Fund grade captains in the coming weeks. This year’s Annual Fund will be led by Ara Romero and Abe Martinez, parents of a third grader and a PK4 student.

This year brings a first: A challenge gift! Ortiz Pharmacy, and Eddy and Alex Tellez, are challenging First Grade parents. The business will match gifts from their fellow First Grade parents that are pledged from Oct. 22 through Nov. 22, up to a total of $10,000.

If you have already given, thank you. If you have not, please support the Annual Fund with a gift that you feel comfortable contributing. If you'd like, you may donate here .

And if you would like to consider a challenge gift to your own class, contact Director of Development Adriana Villafranca at avillafranca@keystoneschool.org .

Billy's Blog: From the Head of School
"The human species thinks in metaphors and learns through stories."
--Mary Catherine Bateson

Sitting with the fourth graders and watching Paul Salopek share his experiences via Skype from Northeast India and Myanmar had me transfixed. Here were our students in San Antonio speaking with the two-time Pulitzer-winning journalist while he recounted stories about the people and places he had encountered so far on his 21,000- mile trek round the world.
