On Campus

So a group of Keystone faculty and staff went over to the organization last weekend to get the toys ready for sale.

5th graders collecting items for first aid kits to help refugees
Bins will be out on campus until Dec. 20 for donations to create first aid kits. They're from the fifth grade Destination Imagination group, which is partnering with RAICES, an organization that provides legal services to refugees and immigrants coming to the United States.

The students are collecting all-natural, organic pain relievers, all-natural organic upset stomach medication, antibiotic ointment, band-aids, unscented hand sanitizer, and hand warmers.

As I write the next sentence, I realize that I may need to do some explaining here. Among the many places that I find valuable information at Keystone are the fliers posted on the restroom walls. Thanks to the excellent work of our Upper School Wellness Council, I often see tips for studying or for living a healthy and balanced life.
