Keystone has launched an online store for clothing and merchandise. It's open now and closes Aug. 18.

Third-grader's painting showcased at festival
Congratulations to third-grader Pia, whose painting was showcased during Frida Fest over the summer.

She credits art teacher Mr. Parker for her creative spark.
Junior spends summer working on vintage planes
What a great summer job -- junior Ethan spent his summer working on vintage airplanes.
He began his job at Lewis Energy working in the commercial airplane hangar.

Geography Bee winner fares well
Ninth-grader Andy — the reigning Keystone champion in the National Geographic GeoBee — tested his geography knowledge over the summer and placed well in two other competitions .

Senior wins election at Girls State
During this summer’s  Girls State  program, senior Jada won her election for county attorney and led commissioners court.

PTO refreshes first day with aguas frescas
To wrap up a great first day of school, the PTO provided aguas frescas in front of Founders Hall. Even better, they were in Keystone colors!

Thanks to the PTO and Viva la Calle catering company for the delicious and refreshing treats.

Important Events and Notes
Lower School Open House - Aug. 22

Lower School parents: make plans to attend the Lower School Open house on Aug. 22 from 5:15-7:30 p.m.

Childcare will be provided for students currently enrolled at Keystone. Check in for childcare will be in the cafeteria. Pick up will also be in the cafeteria at or before 7:30 pm.
Pizza and drinks will be provided for the students in childcare.

The open house begins in the Theatre with Mr. Handmaker, Mrs. Vilagi and counselors Mrs. Raymer and Dr. Shapiro, then continues with presentations in your child's homeroom, followed by Specials presentation in the Theatre.
College Counseling Parent Coffee - Sept. 6

Ms. Christiansen, Director of College Counseling will host a 12 th  Grade College Counseling Parent Coffee  on Friday, Sept 6 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. in the Lunchroom.

She'll go over the logistics of applying to college through Naviance, review details & deadlines for the fall, and share ways in which parents can support your senior this year.

This is an informal event with time for Q&A.
