Keystone's 37 seniors announced their college plans this week, and they're impressive.
As a class, they were awarded more than $10 million in scholarships -- including several full-tuition packages.

Trinity literary magazine publishes eighth-grader's work
Congratulations to eighth-grader Aleena, whose creative nonfiction essay has been accepted into the inaugural issue of  High Noon , a new literary journal from Trinity University.

Scholarship-winning senior to present sacred Indian dance
Congratulations to Gowri, a senior who will present an Indian dance performance later this month -- and who's being honored by the Girl Scouts.

Literary Magazine honored
The National Council of Teachers of English has awarded last year's Literary Magazine with the rank of Excellent in it its Recognizing Excellence in Art and Literary Magazines program. Great job!
Fifth-grader advances to regional gymnastics competition

Eighth-grader going to New York Times Summer Academy

Congratulations to eighth-grader Lorenzo on his acceptance to the New York Times Summer Academy. He's taking a two-week course that uses New York City as a learning lab.

4th Graders visit Capitol

Fourth grade ended the week with a trip to the state Capitol, and a visit with Rep. Diego Bernal, whose district includes Keystone.

For many years, I have talked with seniors as they went through the college decision-making process. Sometimes, I just sit and listen, say nothing, and eventually the students announce their decision as they verbalize the differences among their choices.

Senior Parent Event: Transition to College - May 8

Ms. Raymer and Ms. Christiansen will be hosting a 12 th grade parent event on Wednesday, May 8 from 6:30-7:30pm in the theater about the transition to college. We’ll be discussing the book "Letting Go" by Coburn & Treeger  and talking about how senior parents can be supportive in their student’s transition to college. Download a flyer here .
Fourth Grade Parent Meeting - May 9

Current Fourth Grade parents are invited to to meet with teachers and Middle School administrators to help smooth the transition from fourth to fifth grade.

The meeting takes place from 8:30-9:15 a.m. on May 9 in the Cafeteria.

School is dismissed at 1 pm; we don't hold Aftercare.
