Coverage Form Updates:

Refreshed Property Plus Enhancement has arrived!

Enhanced Coverages: Effective 6-15-2021 for New Business and 7-1-2021 for Renewals - the updated NB 00 66 02 21 is here! Highlights associated with the form revision can be read in detail on the attached Policyholder Notice (Form NB 01 17 02 21)

Revised Rating: Along with coverage revisions - the new version also carries a rating revision to a 3% charge of developed building, contents, BI, and EE coverages for which the endorsement applies - subject to a $150 per policy minimum and a $5,000 per policy maximum!

Convenient Quoting Capability: Along with the release of the updated coverage form, we are pleased to introduce the ability to attach the form at the POLICY level, rather than LOCATION level. When selected, it will charge for and attach coverages to any location rated on a Replacement Cost valuation, with Special Cause of Loss.

As part of a larger cloud based migration for the SOAR system - our Customer Portal has gotten a bit of a face lift! Please note that along with this upgrade, ALL CUSTOMERS (both new and returning) will need to create an account prior to their next log in, to access account management features.

One-Time Payment Function IS HERE!

Pennsylvania Homeowners - Rate Increase

As a reminder, please note that effective July 1, 2021 for both New Business and Renewals, KNIC will issue an overall rate increase of 8% across our Homeowners Portfolio in the state of Pennsylvania.

Here's a Helpful Tip:

Further to recent agent reports of download issues, we have found out that due to a recent Java update, user systems are flagging the TeamUp client as a risk. This is in turn preventing the TeamUp client from working properly. To correct this issue, we recommend that you add the following address to the Java Exception Site List:

Alternatively, you can also download the .NET version of the TeamUp client. This can be downloaded from: https://teamupdownloadclient.ebix.com. We have verified with the vendor that if you are upgrading from the Java version of the TeamUp client, you should not have to reconfigure your client with carrier information - the .NET version of the TeamUp client should automatically pick up your current account configurations and settings.

Inspections, Recommendation Letters & Compliance Dates

As our agents and insureds continue to adapt to COVID related state and local regulations into the summer months - we want to assure you that we are taking current circumstances into consideration with regards to ordering inspections based upon our needs, as well as managing compliance on outstanding recommendations. If you have any question with regards to inspection scheduling, or find an insured in need of more time to complete recommendations due to material, or construction delays - please be sure to make your underwriter aware.

Keeping Up with KNIC

We are excited to announce that effective June 1, production staff will again be able to conduct in person visits. However, as we realize that not all agencies will be ready to open their doors - we will continue to offer Zoom meeting availability with your Underwriter, anytime! Zoom rooms are a great way to discuss potential new business opportunities, prescreen accounts, or even receive some SOAR training via share screen! The zoom platform functions over desktops, and mobile devices as well as landlines!

We are aware of the delays impacting USPS - resulting in longer than usual mail time. We encourage you to reach out to your underwriter as specific service needs arise.
