FROM AROUND PENNSYLVANIA
Laurel Highland Snowmobile Club

Hello from the Laurel Highlands. The question of the day is what to write about for the LHSC article?????

As you know, in PA it was a bad winter with little or no riding. Our most recent club meetings and events have been cancelled or postponed until further notice. We are now in the middle of the worst health issues we have ever experienced. Therefore, I found some information I wanted to share with you.
Glendale Lake SMC
Hello fellow snowmobilers. Hoping everyone is staying safe and doing well as we deal with the Covid-19 pandemic. The stay at home order forced the cancelation of our regular club meeting on April 6th. We certainly missed gathering together as a club. So that club business could continue the club Board met via Zoom on the regular meeting night. Nine Board members and Officers attended the meeting.  The Zoom format worked out well and allow business to be conducted.

Club membership stands at 138, a little down from last year so it was decided to try a snail mail membership drive in conjunction with our Fall Picnic, Show and Sled Giveaway. Stay tuned for more details on that event. If you haven’t renewed your membership or haven’t joined the club, it’s not too late to do so. Club work continues in preparation for next year. We hoping that the big snow will finally be back, it’s about time.
Hyner Mountain Happenings
HELLO from the members of the Hyner Mountain Snowmobile Club.

I mentioned in last month’s column about the lack of snow in most areas of the northeast US. In retrospect, that was pretty insignificant in light of the fact that most of us are now mostly housebound as a result of the Governor’s stay-at-home executive order.
Update from Region 10
Centre, Clinton, Lycoming, Snyder, Northumberland, Montour and Union Counties
During these trying and unprecedented times, I hope everyone is staying safe, staying calm and staying home. And if you are essential and unable to stay home, thank you for your efforts in keeping each of us healthy, safe and fed.

As you may recall during the month of March, I had written asking you to consider responding to DCNR regarding their new Draft ATV Policy. My letter was shared on the PSSA website and with the Clubs located in Region 10. I also posted the letter to a FaceBook Page I created exclusively for Region 10 news, PA State Snowmobile Association – Region 10 (@PSSAR10) as well as a FaceBook Private Group Central Pa Snowmobile Trail Conditions.
Your Favorite PA Trail
by Randy Green
What’s your favorite PA snowmobile trail? What trail do you ride in your sleep and dream about during the day? Where is it and why is that one trail special? Is it the trail itself or a special ride or person that makes it stand out. If you’re like most sledders this is a really tough question. There’s been so many memorable rides with special people or exceptional conditions and special moments.  So pick one.
