Kick Off Summer with Firefly Festival Sunday
& Three Days of Winery Music
|
|
Our annual Firefly Festival is this Sunday June 26 - 4pm-9pm!
Fireflies are an “electrifying” part of summer.
Join us to celebrate summer at this free event, with an evening of nature, music, wagon rides, and outdoor fun!

Firefly Festival is a fun-filled event for the whole family. Children can dress up as fireflies after decorating wings and making antennas in the craft area. There is a $7 charge for craft activities. Children can have fun in our kids’ play area, on pedal and play tractors and in discovery barn. Visiting with our farm animals is always fun for everyone. Take a stroll on our farm trail and see what you can discover.
Don’t let hunger bug you. While enjoying summer on the farm, have an old-fashioned farm supper and snacks at Pam’s Food Tent. The grill will be cooking up everyone’s summer favorites – hot dogs, pork sandwich and barbecued chicken, along with homemade gazpacho. Pies, donuts and other freshly baked treats will be available for dessert, too. Stop in the Barn Door Cafe for hand scooped ice cream and apple cider slush. The wine orchard will stay open late for wine flights, wine slushies, and wine by the glass.

Music & Imagination with Lolly Hopwood
|
|
Lolly Hopwood will be performing for all our young firefly friends. Bring your wings and dancing shoes. Come sing, dance and play with Lolly!
Fun props like bubbles, parachutes, scarves and puppets make Lolly’s events extra memorable for the whole family. Her interactive & imaginative shows bring the audience into the performance with original songs that get the kids up and moving.

Monarchs, Swallowtails, and Honeybees — Oh My!
Next Tuesday, June 28 at 9:30am & 11am
|
|
Read & Pick is an innovative program that combines a hands-on farm activity with your young child followed by an education program with stories highlighting the fruit or farm area.
Young farmers are welcome to celebrate everything wonderful about butterflies, bees and other helpful pollinators. We will be reading two books about flowers, gardens, honey and insects followed by an educational component. Then everyone will make their own butterfly to take home.
The cost is $12.00 per child and includes the craft activity. All programs have 9:30am and 11am sessions, each lasting about one hour.
