Greetings friends, family, and community,
Who’s up to celebrating Native American Heritage Month by getting healthy?
At the Notah Begay III (NB3) Foundation, we work to ensure all children live healthy, happy and fulfilled lives. We can’t do that without you. Throughout the month of November, we challenge you! Yes, YOU! Whether you’re an employee, teacher, tribal leader, or family member, we need all of YOU to keep our children healthy.
How do we do that together? We do it through the simple, yet powerful action of being a role model. So, during the entire month of November, we challenge you to take the Zero to 60 Challenge. This challenge requires you to cut out all sugar sweetened beverages completely and drink 60 ounces of water each day for the month. But wait there’s more!
In addition to our challenge, we encourage you to engage in NB3FIT Week (November 1-7) and join Native youth as they participate in sports, fitness and physical activity. By signing up your family or community you are committing to getting your youth and community active and moving for at least one hour per activity!
Lastly, we have the NB3FIT Community XC Race! We have an in-person event for local community members and a virtual event for our friends and relatives who can't make it. The virtual race is FREE and is a great family activity to do during NB3FIT Week!
Trust us, we know it’s hard to change habits, find motivation and make healthy choices all the time, but you can definitely do this for one month. Remember, we are in it together!
Join us starting Monday, Nov. 1 and make a choice to improve your life and the lives of those around you. For more information on these activities follow the links below!
