NEW IBERIA, La. -- The Shadows-on-the-Teche Spring Arts and Crafts Fair will take place in the Shadows gardens on Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
More than 100 vendors from around Louisiana will display and sell their original work. A variety of hand-crafted products will be available for sale. Just a month prior to Easter, a number of items and vendors offer ideal merchandise for this holiday. Stuffed bunnies by Marjorie Pierce, wooden bowls to hold Easter eggs and children's items to fill a basket. Along with tasty treats to add to any basket, there are numerous items to highlight the start of spring in South Louisiana.
Admission to the fair is $5 per person (12 and older) and $3 for children (ages 6-11), and includes a specialized tour of the Shadows often focusing on a special theme. Raffle tickets will be sold with all prizes donated by vendors. In addition to the arts and crafts, food and dessert vendors will offer tempting choices. Come enjoy the day with your family and friends while supporting local artists, craftsmen and the Shadows-on-the-Teche.
The Shadows is located at 317 E. Main St. in New Iberia. All funds raised will be used for the continued preservation and maintenance of Shadows-on-the-Teche, a National Trust Historic Site.
