Greetings NENSA Community ~
A Donation Challenge is on the table!
If 51 more people donate to our April Fund Drive, NENSA will receive $5000!
If 101 more people donate, we will receive $7500!
Time is running out ~ we have 6 days left to meet our fundraising goal of $50k and our Donation Challenge. If every NENSA member and person who attended one of our events or races this year all made a donation to NENSA, that would make a huge impact on our fundraising goals. Make a donation today, then tell your ski friends and club members to donate too! We hope everyone will participate and click on the
DONATE link today and give as generously as you can.
We have two great incentives for giving! All donations of $100 or more, will be added into a raffle to win a two-night stay at the Trapp Family Lodge (must be used by 9/30/19). So a $100 donation gets you one ticket into the raffle, a $500 donation gets you 5 chances, $1000 gets you 10, and so on. All donations already made to date, of $100 or more, will also automatically be included in the raffle.
And, all donations of $250 or more gets you the spiffy and warm NENSA/SKIDA fleece neck warmer! So many great incentives! Please give as generously as you can. We need your financial support as we wrap up this season, and make plans for fun programing this summer, fall and next winter.
Congrats to our 14 New England U16 athletes that qualified and received invitations to the US Ski & Snowboard National U16 Camp this summer ~ see box below for full story.
This is also the time of year, as we plan for the coming year, that we appreciate feedback on the programing we did this past season. We welcome your feedback on our
As always, be sure to check out all the

NENSA is much more than great results ~ it is a family enjoying the Bill Koch Festival together, and it is a group of friends attending Woman's Day. It's juniors spending time with their friends at ski practice, and BKL'ers playing games and learning a sport that will stay with them for life. It's coaches & TD's learning new skills at our NENSA trainings, and it is masters having fun with their friends and teammates racing at Zak Cups, Club Championships and Marathons all winter long. It's having the challenge and opportunity to roller ski race to the top of the APP Gap in August, or against all the top athletes at Jericho in October, getting ready to start yet another great season.
As a special incentive, any donations of $250 or more received this April Fund Drive will receive this special custom NENSA Skida fleece neck warmer pictured at the top of this post.
A special thank you to

The National U16 Camp
Announces Selections and Program
for Summer 2019
|
The tenth edition of the US Skiing National U16 Camp will be held Monday, July 22, 2019 to Monday, July 29, 2019. The NU16 camp brings together the top U16 Boys and Girls from across the USA for a week of intensive training and ski sport education as one of the first steps in the US Skiing National Development Pipeline. The camp rotates in location throughout the country and this year’s camp will be held at the College of St Scholastica in Duluth, MN. The greater Duluth region offers ideal training venues in a beautiful natural setting. US Ski Team staff will lead the camp along with a selection of top regional coaches from across the US. Selection for the camp is based on results from this year’s US Junior Championships, held in Anchorage, Alaska. In addition to the top twenty boys and top twenty girls selected via JN results, each USSA Division is afforded two discretionary picks of one boy and one girl (must have competed as a U16 last season).
NENSA is proud to announce that the following athletes have qualified for this opportunity:
Girls:
Ava Thurston – Mansfield Nordic
Sofia Scirica – CSU
Elsa Bolinger – Ford Sayre
Quincy Massey-Bierman – Craftsbury/MNC
Camille Bolduc – Craftsbury
Evelyn Walton – CSU
Clara Lake – CSU
Boys:
Trey Jones – GMVS
Aidan Burt – Mansfield Nordic
Mathias Boudreau-Golfman – Stratton Mountain School
Jack Lange – Ford Sayre
Sam Murray – Ford Sayre
Elvis McIntosh – Frost Mountain
Evan Nichols – Ford Sayre
In addition we are pleased to announce that Kathy Maddock, Dublin XC, will accompany our New England U16’s as our regional coach.
Congratulations to these athletes — we look forward to seeing your reports from camp!

The 2019 NENSA Club Challenge
|
This year we had over 900 racers skiing for their clubs throughout the season. The top twenty teams had more than ten racers, with the top team having nearly two hundred. The
2019 NENSA Club Challenge
is to see which club will come out on top. The goal is to help us continue our programs year round,
and for you to win
.
The Challenge is for each Club to donate $1 for each of your Members
.
Any contribution will be greatly appreciated of course, but if you can give $1 for each one of your club members, to keep the NENSA programing we do for you and your club members running, that would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
The winning club will receive an exclusive club/team feature, with club photo, in a May 2019 issue of our KickZone eNewsletter.
Who will be the Winning Club?
