Happy 2019 NENSA Community!
It has been an exciting time here in New England for cross country ski racing this past week with the Craftsbury Outdoor Center playing host to the U.S. Ski & Snowboard Cross Country Ski US Nationals. A variety of National Champions were crowned, and the racing, volunteers and venue were in top form! See box below for links to all the days recaps and photos.
I want to personally thank all the donors who participated in our year end matching gift campaign ~ the "Sprint to the Finish" of 2018! NENSA received $10,560 in donations, that were then matched by our wonderful matching donor, for a total of $21,120 to NENSA in this year end fund drive! THANK YOU!!
Time to get psyched for a
full January calendar of citizen, Zak Cup and Eastern Cup racing! We have the
Bogburn Classic coming up this Saturday 1/12 as well as the
Stowe Derby this Sunday 1/13. NENSA's ever popular
New England Women's Day is next Sunday 1/20 in Waterville, the
Silver Fox Trot is on Saturday 1/19, and the
46th Annual Geschmossel Classic ski race is on Monday 1/21 at Bretton Woods. Our next
Eastern Cup weekend, which is combined with a U.S. Ski & Snowboard Supertour, in Lake Placid NY is the weekend of January 25th, 26th and 27th. Friday will be a Supertour race day only; Saturday a combined EC & Supertour classic SPRINT race day; and Sunday will be the combined EC & Supertour classic Mass Start race day. Register now on
SkiReg.com. There is no DOR for that EC/Supertour weekend ~ on-line registration closes on Weds. 1/23 at 5pm.
