Greetings NENSA Community!

A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to our U.S. World Juniors mens relay team for their GOLD medal victory in Lahti Finland this past Saturday!! The relay team included our own Ben Ogden (UVM), as well as Gus Schumacher (Alaska Winter Stars), Johnny Hagenbuch (Sun Valley SEF), and Luke Jager (APUNSC). Their skis were waxed to perfection by our own New England wax techs Justin Beckwith (NENSA) and Anna Schulz (Craftsbury Nordic). Way to go team!

Great to see so many of you at our Eastern Cup/Supertour races in Lake Placid last weekend. There were also great turn outs for the Freeman Frost White Mountain Classic 30k as well as the Bretton Woods Geschmossel 15k classic races too. See boxes below for results and photos.

This weekend brings the Craftsbury DOUBLE Marathon ski festival weekend - a 33k/50k classic marathon on Saturday and a 16k/33k freestyle marathon on Sunday.

Closer to my home in Boston, the Third Annual Race for Snow is happening. Races begin at 9am on Sunday, February 3rd at the Leo J Martin Ski Track. Online Registration is open on SkiReg.com and closes at 5pm on February 1st. All proceeds from the race will be donated to 350.org, a grass-roots organization that promotes clean energy and climate change awareness. This race is run by a great group of CSU junior high school athletes, and it is a top notch race event not to be missed (unless you are at the Marathon)!

Check out all the NENSA NEWS from the Field below, and the tons of races and events coming up in the next few weeks and all of February and March on our full NENSA Calendar of Events at the bottom of this eNewsletter.

Hope to see many of you in Craftsbury this weekend, or out at another NENSA event soon!

Best,
Amie
