Greetings NENSA Community!
I am still on a natural high from the GOLD medal race of a lifetime we all witnessed yesterday! In case you want to view it again (and again!) - especially that incredible final downhill and maneuvering from 3rd to 1st at the finish, then go to NENSA's fb page (link in box below) to take a look, and enjoy!!!
It was an incredible weekend for the New England Bill Koch Festival last Saturday and Sunday, held at the Leo J. Martin Ski Track in Weston MA. Warm sunny blue sky both days, and a magical 6" of fresh snow overnight Saturday! The Eastern Mass BK organizers did an amazing job creating a really special event for our BKL members! See box below for a recap of the weekend and links to some really great photos!
Our New England Junior National Team has been named! The 44 athletes and 13 coaches and wax techs will be heading to Soldier Hollow Utah on Saturday March 3rd for a week of competition. Team New England will be defending the Alaska Cup, for the fifth year in a row! See box below for the full story.
Please note the few schedule changes on our calendar of events ~ most notably for this coming weekend, the Boburn is ON but the venue has changed, and, the Stowe Derby has been cancelled. The
Race for Snow
is ON at the Weston Ski Track in Boston, and given the weather outside the past two days, the mission behind that race is greater than ever!
I hope to see you at the Race for Snow, or out on another snowy trail soon! Be sure to check out our jam packed Calendar of Events below ~ lots more winter fun still to come!
