Dear Friend of Agriculture,

As the holiday season approaches, so does the spirit of giving. At Colorado Agriculture in the Classroom (CoAITC), we are thrilled to announce the kickoff of our annual fundraising campaign, Fill The Apple, which coincides with the global day of generosity, Giving Tuesday!

What is Fill the Apple? 🍎

Fill The Apple is our flagship fundraising campaign designed to support agricultural education in Colorado schools. It's an opportunity for us to come together as a community and ensure that students and teachers across the state have access to the valuable resources and programs that promote agricultural literacy.

Why Giving Tuesday? đź—“

Giving Tuesday, celebrated today on November 28, 2023, marks the beginning of the charitable season. It's a day when people around the world unite in the spirit of giving back, and what better way to start than by supporting the future of agricultural education in Colorado?

How Can You Help? 🌱

  • Donate: Your financial support is crucial in helping us reach our fundraising goal of $273,300. Every dollar contributes directly to providing educational materials, organizing hands-on experiences, supporting teacher training programs, and more!
  • Spread the Word: Share our Fill The Apple campaign on your social media platforms, encouraging your friends, family, and colleagues to join the cause. Use the hashtag #FillTheApple and let's make some noise for agricultural education!
  • Get Involved: There are many ways to get involved with CoAITC. Contact us to learn more about how you can volunteer your time and make an even greater impact.

What's New in 2023-2024? 🚀

This year, we have exciting plans to expand our reach and enhance the impact of our programs. We aim to introduce new educational resources, broaden our community engagement, and foster a deeper connection between students and the world of agriculture. Please take a look at the flyer linked below for a highlight of our programs and reach. This will also give you a sneak peak into a few of our plans for this 2023-2024 school year.

How to Donate:

Visit our secure online donation form today to make your contribution. Or print and complete this paper donation form and mail it with your donation to Colorado Agriculture in the Classroom. Our annual giving letters will go in the mail soon. Save us the printing and postage by making your gift today. All gifts to CoAITC are tax deductible.

Thank you for being a vital part of the CoAITC community. Together, we can Fill The Apple and sow the seeds of knowledge for a brighter future in agricultural education.

Warm regards,

Donate Your State Tax Return

Your income tax refund can give agricultural literacy education a big boost! Started in 2020, ReFUND Colorado is a program that allows Coloradans to donate all or part of their state tax refund to support their favorite nonprofit. When you file, look for the “Donate to a Colorado Charity or Nonprofit” line on your tax return or tax software, type in Colorado Foundation for Agriculture and our registration number: 20043005483, and then write in the amount you wish to donate. If you have your taxes prepared by someone else, just let them know you want to donate part or all of your refund and give them the instructions. Let us know if you donate! All tax refund donations are sent to us anonymously. Drop us an email with your name and the amount you donated.

Donate Meat-In Day Proceeds

#MeatIn Day is a state-wide movement to celebrate, promote, and protect agriculture and food production in Colorado. Community #MeatIn events across the state are held the 3rd weekend in March. If your event is designed as a fundraiser, consider naming Colorado Agriculture in the Classroom as a benefactor of your #MeatIn event. We can provide you with logos and information to assist with the promotion of your event. Also, consider requesting any of our free education resources through our Online Store to give to attendees.

2023 #MeatIn Day events raised $3,200 for Colorado Agriculture in the Classroom. Let’s double that amount in 2024!
