We just finished our fiscal first quarter and results were outstanding. Sales and bookings were strong, and our on‑time delivery met our 90% goal. Our quality metrics showed a few areas we’re tightening up, and we’ve already implemented improvements. Overall, it was a strong start to the year.
Teams are moving forward with our strategic initiatives, including updating and creating Standard Work documentation. Standard Work helps us train faster, follow consistent processes, troubleshoot issues more efficiently, and ensure we’re using the most effective, cost‑competitive methods in our operations.
CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) is also progressing as we approach our external audit during the week of September 7th. We’re implementing new system tools, reviewing policies, and preparing for training. This is a significant investment in time and resources, and it will open the door to future government opportunities.
We’ve also had plenty of chances to celebrate our team this quarter. In April, we hosted a private bowl‑a‑thon at Spare Time — lots of friendly competition and plenty of laughs. Donuts from Gerry’s (IYKYK) made an appearance, and Ben and Jerry surprised us with some spectacular ice cream cakes. (I’m still working off those calories!) We wrapped up June by grilling and chilling ahead of the July 4th weekend, cooking up burgers and dogs for the crew. It was a hot one, but the team had a great time.
Swag has been flying off the shelves — hard to believe Glenn opened up the purse strings! T‑shirts, T-shirts, and more T-shirts, plus some sharp new hats in both baseball and winter styles. It’s a fun way to keep the WNP brand alive.
Our team continues to show incredible dedication, and we’re proud of the work they do every day. As summer rolls on, we hope everyone gets a chance to recharge and enjoy time with family and friends. We’re grateful to the Platers who make this place what it is.
