Kicking Off STA WIF's Mentorship Program!

By Christine Lee, Liquidnet and Laura Delaney, Virtu Financial

2025 STA WIF Chair and Vice Chair

One of the pillars of STA Women in Finance, particularly as part of our focus for 2025, is the committment to mentoring the next generation and providing a platform for women to lead with confidence. As we recognize this pillar through milestones like the 10th anniversary of STA Women in Finance at our conference in October, we were thrilled to launch the very first Women in Finance Mentorship Program, with women representing all corners of our industry. Designed to connect women of all career paths and geographical areas, this program is just one of the many ways STA WIF aims to provide key resources for career development.

While the program is still in its early days, we've already seen impressive movement and positive impact. Earlier this month, we welcomed over 50 mentors, mentees, and guests at the beautiful Dear Irving on Hudson rooftop in New York for our Mentorship Program Happy Hour, co-sponsored by Liquidnet and Virtu Financial. We're so grateful to all who made this event (and this entire program!) possible. As we prepare for our 92nd Annual Market Structure Conference, we see the intrinstic value in hosting light-touch events throughout the year to further foster networking for the women of STA and beyond.

In alignment with STA's mission to provide education and resources to our members, this program offers the current and next generation of leaders an opportunity to share their experiences and perspectives as a woman in finance. We believe that mentorship and guidance, especially in the early years of career development, is key to building confidence - and we're honored to contribute to this growth through initiatives offered by STA WIF. Stay tuned for further updates on this exciting program and the 10th Annual STA WIF Symposium!
