Orange Out Community Event to Take Action Against Teen Violence


On Tuesday, January 23rd, community organizers of the UPstander initiative will host an event at Combs High School to raise awareness about teen violence and support the families affected by these tragedies.


The community event will take place in the Combs High School cafeteria from 3:30pm-6:30pm, and will be followed by the Combs/Eastmark varsity basketball game at 7:00 pm.


Attendees are encouraged to wear orange in honor of Preston Lord and Jamiere Jenkins, as well as all who have been affected by teen violence.

Combs Education Foundation Awards $10,000 in Classroom Mini-Grants


Each year, the Combs Education Foundation is pleased to award $10,000 in classroom mini-grants to support projects that positively impact student learning.


Through a competitive application process, ten winners from various school sites were selected to receive $1,000 for their proposed project.


Join us in congratulating the 2024 recipients: Michelle Guest (CCS), Heidi Bush (CHS), Jessica Furman (CHS), Heaven Gomez (CMS), Jennifer Krickeberg (CTA), Laura Frier (EES), Laura Loar (EES), Heidi Fajardo (RES), Kelsy Saint (SES), and Holly Sipes (CMS).
