Emerging Leader of the Month

Brandon Bacon

I am the Resident Service Coordinator at Chattanooga Housing Authority.

How did you become involved with United Way's Emerging Leaders?
Through H.Y.P.E. Unlimited International

What are your interests outside of work?
I love working out, horseback riding, family time, volunteering, and being a motivational speaker!

Additional  highlights you would like others to know?
One of my primary goals is to help as many people as possible reach their full potential in life. Everyone has greatness within themselves - we just have to learn how to tap into it!

Do you know an emerging leader who deserves to be recognized? We want to know!

and you just may see your nominee - or yourself! - in next month's newsletter!

February 2017
We hope you enjoyed looking back at 2016 in our January Newsletter! We certainly did.

But February is already upon us and it's time to look to the future! We have some awesome things coming up and we want YOU to be a part of it!

Date: February 23, 2017
Time: 7:30am-8:30am
Place:  Bessie Smith Hall
Keynote: Dr. Elaine Swafford

Join the Emerging Leaders for their 2017 Annual Kickoff. Emerging Leaders will be having Dr. Elaine Swafford as a keynote speaker who will be sharing her thoughts and insights on the importance and benefits of philanthropy and civic engagement as a young professional. In addition, we will also be discussing our goals (which can be found below) as a group and how we plan to illustrate our impact and engagement in our great Chattanooga community.

2017 Goals:
  • 440 Total Members
  • $65,000 total reported dollars
  • 2,000 volunteer hours

The Emerging Leaders have officially set their goals for 2017! We have an exciting year planned and are eager to continue to grow and improve. With the constant collective effort from engaged volunteers, companies, and organizations, we are sure to hit our goals for 2017. Volunteering time and investing dollars into UWGC are key metrics in measuring our collective impact in Chattanooga. We want to make the EL experience as positive and beneficial for all members.
