BPL continues our Summer Hours - we will be closed Sundays through September 4. We are also closed Monday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day.

As always, many of our services are available online even when the building is closed, including library card registration, eBooks and downloads

online learning, and more.

Join us for our Summer Concert Series in the Memorial Garden!


July 8 - Horizon

August 12 - The Sting Rays


All concerts are 12:00-1:00 p.m. in the Dominic Froio Memorial Garden. For maximum comfort, bring your own lawn chair (for when you're not dancing!).


Attend all 3 concerts and get your raffle entry stamped at each one for a chance to win a prize at the last concert! Prizes provided by Roosters Barn & Grill, La Campana Mexican Restaurant, and Anyways Pub, all in Bloomingdale.

In-Person Storytimes


Join us for in-person storytime. Listen to our staff read stories, sing songs, and tell rhymes.


Mondays through July

1:30-2:00 p.m.


Fridays through July

10:30-11:00 a.m. or 11:15-11:45 a.m.


Registration for storytimes begins one week prior to each event. Please register as a family for one session per week.

Circle Park Storytime (Drop-In)


Join us for outdoor summer storytime in Circle Park! Meet us at the picnic shelter. Weather permitting.

Play many chess games over the summer in our BPL Chess Club! An instructor will be available for questions and guidance. Kids ages 8-18 are welcome.


No registration necessary - just drop in when you are able.

July Programs

Unicorns, yeti, and dragons, oh my! And let’s not forget the mermaids! Calling all mythical creature lovers, join us for a program filled with stories, crafts, and more to celebrate our favorite creatures who may be off the beaten path.

Join us for an evening of traditional storytelling. The program will begin with shorter, simpler stories appropriate for young children and will move to longer, more complicated stories for older listeners.

Get ready for kindergarten this fall in this three session class. Register for each week individually. Each session has a different theme.

August 10 - Numbers

Children are encouraged to attend without a parent. Children should be entering Kindergarten this fall.

July - Granny Square Throw Pillow

Explore our new Makerspace as we create all sorts of fun and useful items like keychains, coasters, custom buttons, and jewelry. Crafts will take anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour. Drop by each week and see what’s new!
