There are so many things going on at Bloomingdale Public Library this month!

Here are just a few of the important dates and exciting events going on in July (click on any highlighted items for more information):

July 4 - Closed in observance of Independence Day
Fun Programming Just for Kids!
Paper Bag Costumes
Grades K-2
Monday, July 1 | 10:30–11:15 a.m.

Create a simple and colorful animal character costume out of a paper bag and construction paper. Then get "into character" as you act out your animal while listening to an animal "tail."

Sun Catcher Painting
Grades K-6
Tuesday, July 9 | 2:00–3:00 p.m.

Paint a special ornament, hang it in a window, and it will bring a rainbow to any room.

Sensory Time
Ages 3-8 with caregiver
Saturday, July 13 | 10:00–10:45 a.m.

A time at the library for children with special needs filled with stories, songs, games, sensory stations, and more. Please email us at [email protected] if your child has special needs and interests that we would need to know in order to serve them better.

The Lion King Sing & Play Along Movie (Drop-In)
Families
Thursday, July 18 | 2:00–3:45 p.m.

Join us to sing about being king, living worry-free, and doing the hula to save your friends. Props and snacks provided.
The Great Scott Magic Show
(Drop-In)
All Ages
Monday, July 22 | 1:00–2:00 p.m.

The Great Scott Green will captivate the audience as he brings a mix of laughter, magic, and fun sure to keep the whole family entertained. The Great Scott is Chicago's favorite magician and has been featured on ABC, WGN, and FOX!

Magic Tricks are for Kids
Grades K-6
Thursday, July 25 | 2:00–3:00 p.m.
Magic tricks aren't so mysterious when you know how to do them. Learn a magic trick and perform it at the end for your family.

Keep your kids' skills up this summer with SUMMER SKILLS CAMP through Brainfuse!
Brainfuse helps you to sharpen your math, science and writing skills, and to avoid the "summer slide".
