October 14, 2020

Dear Columbus Academy Families,

Kids 4 Kids 2020 will look quite different than in previous years due to the challenges that the COVID-19 pandemic has created. Sadly, this year there will be no clothing drive, but the food drive can still be a reality. Out of respect for the needs that many in our own community are experiencing, our Service Board has created a 2.0 version for this year’s food drive.
Beginning October 21st, each classroom will have its own collection box (courtesy of the Mid-Ohio Food Collective), replacing the dropoff grocery carts that lined the carpool areas in previous years. Students in our Lower School can bring non-perishable food items directly to their classrooms, while middle-schoolers and upper-schoolers will take donations to their advisories. The final day to donate will be October 28th. Click here to view a list of suggested food items.

If each member of the Academy community contributes just two non-perishable food items, over 30 families can be supported for the upcoming winter season. This annual event will also help continue schoolwide service-learning goals.

We thank you for your consideration in donating to this year’s Kids 4 Kids Food Drive. If you have any questions, please contact Service Department Chair Christy Bening (beningc@columbusacademy.org), Middle School Service Coordinator Michelle Platt (plattm@columbusacademy.org) or PACA liaison Kimberly Allison (kimberlyga@me.com).

Sincerely,

Columbus Academy Service Board
