Did you know? One in eight American children struggles with access to food for the 65 hours they are not at school over the weekend.  

Blessings in a Backpack helps lower food insecurity across the nation, but there are many more mouths to feed. This Giving Tuesday, YOU can join Blessings in a Backpack in our quest to feed 700 more children in the new year.  

On average, it costs $150 to feed one child each weekend for one school year. If you are able, please consider changing the life of a student in need today.

Whether you can help feed a child for a week, month, or year, your gift of any amount this Giving Tuesday will go towards our goal of raising the $105,000 and feed 700 more children on the weekends all school year long!

Go on a Backpack Adventure:
No backpacking required!

Take pictures with a Blessings in a Backpack cut-out character. Your support will raise awareness for our mission — providing weekend food for ONE in EIGHT children in America who might otherwise go hungry.

Our goal is to receive photos from all 50 states by December 31.

Culver Academies Students Propose Ways to Feed Local Kids

The Ron Rubin School for the Entrepreneur and Impact Competition was a success! We are grateful for the Culver Academies students who participated in the competition, providing possible solutions for Blessings in a Backpack Culver to feed more kids.

Power Crunch Fuels Kids in Phoenix

Power Crunch is partnering with Blessings in a Backpack to provide weekend food for 200 kids at Nevitt Elementary in Phoenix this school year. They also donated Power Crunch KIDs protein bars to Blessings programs across the country!

Empty Bowls Fundraiser Supports for Dearborn Program

Empty Bowls allows guests to select a one-of-a-kind handmade bowl and enjoy a serving of soup and bread for a donation. Students in kindergarten through high school make the bowls; the event benefits Blessings in a Backpack.
